About me.

In 2022, I founded Natural Form Designs, shortly after completing my Part 1 architecture degree. This venture marked a seamless transition from my final university project, a design concept for a recovery center for Alcoholics Anonymous. My project drew inspiration from the intricate, fractal patterns observed in trees, creating a structural framework where each element was meticulously designed for cohesiveness.

Throughout the course of this project, I cultivated a profound appreciation for drawing inspiration from the natural world in my design endeavors. This newfound passion became the driving force behind my foray into furniture making and design, allowing me to explore these nature-inspired concepts even further.

My journey as an arborist played a pivotal role in this endeavour. It not only granted me access to valuable materials but also immersed me daily in the very forms that continue to inspire my work. This hands-on experience provided me with a deep understanding of the material's capabilities, instilling a sense of trust in its structural integrity as I rely on this while climbing. Moreover, it has imbued my work with sustainability, as I repurpose trees or limbs that must be removed, allowing me to carry on the tree's narrative through functional pieces of furniture.
