Salvaged Piano
Beginning with the client's stunning walnut canvas adorned with intricate floral patterns, our primary goal for this project was to embrace simplicity and allow the piano's innate beauty to radiate.

The journey began with a panel salvaged from an old piano, swathed in a walnut veneer extracted from a burl. This veneer showcased a mesmerizing swirling pattern, an intricate dance of wood that captivates the eye, revealing new, tangled complexities with every gaze. This exquisite tapestry of woodgrain served as the perfect foundation for our floral and faunal composition.

As we embarked on the design process, it became clear that our mission was to maintain an understated elegance, ensuring that our work would never overshadow the inherent splendor of this gifted piece. Instead, our design was meant to harmonize with and enhance the natural magnificence of the old piano top, allowing its timeless beauty to take center stage.
