‘Naguri,’ meaning ‘beaten,’ is a traditional Japanese wood-carving method that creates beautiful, artistic grooves on the surface. Unlike a static flat surface, this textured pattern shifts and transforms throughout the day, casting dynamic shadows that move with the sun. The ever-changing play of light and shadow highlights the wood’s natural beauty, bringing it to life—much like the organic grooves in a tree’s bark.
